How many sites and connected computers can be managed from the one SDTConnector client? SDTConnector enables a secure management connection to a remote Host to be set up by simply pointing at the Host, then clicking the Service/Application that will be used to access that Host. This automatically:
It is simple to create new secure SSH tunnel pathways to a new console server. On the SDTConnector client:
SDTConnector can be configured to access hundreds of console server gateways, so multiple remote sites can be managed from the one central location. And for each site the console server(s) there can be configured to port forward to hundreds of locally networked Hosts. And there is no limit on the number of Host connections that an SDTConnector client can concurrently have open through the one tunnel. Similarly hundreds of SDTConnector clients can be configured to access the one console server. So SDTConnector could on its own be used to manage access for the very largest and most distributed of operations. However SDTConnector is by design a light weight access client which presents a very "flat" view of the operation being managed. So for more complex operations SDTConnector integrates as part of the SDT Nagios solution. |
